Cranberry Juice and Yeast Infection

What do you know about yeast infection.

Yeast infection is a serious bacterial disease. It grows on different parts of the body, anywhere from inside the mouth to the vagina. Have you looked into someone's mouth and saw white patches of skin like dried milk? That person has yeast infection.

Maybe you ought to ask your friend to drink some cranberry juice.

What is yeast infection and how bad is it?

The bacteria responsible for the infection, Candida yeasts, is present in most people but usually in a controlled population. Naturally-occurring microorganisms and the immune system are responsible for keeping the Candida population in check. But there are times when the population breaks out, and so infection occurs.

Symptoms include soreness, severe burning and itching, irritation of the vagina in women, often with a whitish-gray and curd-like discharge. This is obviously one condition you can't ignore. You can't wait for it to just heal itself, either. Something must be done about it. And guess what? Cranberry helps.

What cranberries can do against yeast infection

Doctors and scientists believe that the cranberry and its juice is very effective in preventing yeast infection—possibly even treat it. This is possible since cranberry juice contains substances that render bacterias unable to cling on the walls of the mouth, intestines, and even the urinary tract. No bacteria, no risk of yeast infection.

If that isn't enough, cranberry juice also helps lower pH levels of urine.

Fresh cranberry juice is effective in flushing out Candida yeasts from the body. But it has an extremely sour taste that turns some people off. You can drink processed cranberry juice as an alternative, so long as you don't pick a product with lots of sugar additives in it. Cranberry pills are another option for those who can't tolerate the taste at all.

Another great health benefit complements of the superfruit.
